In order to drive on Romanian national roads with a motor vehicle, an electronic vignette is generally required. Motorcycles are exempt from this requirement. Motorhomes are tolled like passenger cars, regardless of their gross vehicle weight. So always category A! For trailers, a distinction must be made between passenger cars and commercial vehicles: If your vehicle is a passenger car (vehicle class A), you only have to buy the vignette for the vehicle's license plate and the trailer does not have to be considered additionally. If your vehicle is a commercial vehicle (vehicle class B-F), you have to buy a vignette for the license plate of the vehicle, taking into account the total permissible weight of the vehicle and the trailer. Thus, to determine the category, the total permissible weights of the commercial vehicle and trailer are added together. A total of eight vehicle categories (categories A-H) are distinguished. We will explain which category you need in the ordering process.

No. You no longer need a physical product after successful registration. The digital vignette is linked to your license plate number and the system automatically recognizes whether and for which period your digital vignette is valid.
